The combining weight coefficients allow for combining channels of a multi-channel transmission based on a channel estimate matrix (G) representative of the multi-channel transmission. A method realization comprises the steps of providing a square matrix (E), deriving an adjugate matrix (A) of the square matrix (E), and determining the combining weight coefficients (w) as a function of the channel estimate matrix (G) and the adjugate matrix (A).
