PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm gear driving device capable of stably operating the rotary driving force of the forward and backward rotation of a motor in the switching of rotating direction of a motor without generating a locking state found when the operating direction of a mechanism to be driven is switched through a worm gear and a worm wheel. SOLUTION: A worm gear driving device comprises a connecting member 2 press fitted and held in a shaft 1a of a motor 1 and formed by a linear material having a projection 2a, and a worm gear 3 having a projection 3a to be engaged with the projection 2a of the connecting member 2, and inserted into the motor shaft 1a with a proper clearnace with respect to the shaft, and the rotating force of the motor 1 is transmitted to the worm gear 3 by the engagement of the projection 2a of the connecting member 2 and the projection 3a of the worm gear 3 to drive the worm gear 3.
