<p>Agent comprises (a) at least one alkyltrialkoxysilane with 3-18 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and respectively 1-3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group or its condensation product with an average of 0-2 alkoxy groups per silicon atom, (b) alcohol, hydrocarbon and/or hydrocarbon mixture as solvent, and (c) at least one silicic acid ester (I). Improving the heat insulating properties of inorganic materials, based on alkyl trialkoxysilanes and/or its condensation product comprises (a) at least one alkyltrialkoxysilane with 3-18 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and respectively 1-3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group or its condensation product with an average of 0-2 alkoxy group per silicon atom, (b) alcohol, hydrocarbon and/or hydrocarbon mixture as solvent, and (c) at least one silicic acid ester of formula (R1-(O-Si(OR2)(OR3)-O) n-R4) (I). R1, R2, R3, R4 : optionally saturated and (cyclo)aliphatic group, aryl or aralkyl; and n : 1-10. An independent claim is also included for improving the thermal insulating properties of inorganic materials using the agent comprising applying the agent to the inorganic material, which is to be treated, by spraying and/or flooding.</p> |
