<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling the degree of opening of a vehicle door, which enables a single sensor to detect an obstacle having the possibility of contact with the vehicle door 30, on the inside and outside of the electric vehicle door 30. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus for controlling the degree of the opening of the vehicle door includes a CPU 3 which determines the presence or absence of an obstacle by computing a measured distance (X) from reflection of laser light from a detection area 40 outside the vehicle door 30 scanned by the laser light at a tilt angle of -ϕ2, transmitted through a windowpane 31 of the vehicle door 30, and a detection area 41 scanned by the laser light at a tilt angle of +ϕ1 inside the vehicle door 30, from a laser sensor 11 attached to the inside of the windowpane 31 in the upper portion of the vehicle door 30. A casing 27 of the laser sensor 11 is provided in such a manner as to be tiltable in two directions, that is, outward and inward directions with respect to the upper portion of the vehicle door 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
