<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve sufficient silencing effect in a wall-type air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: A wind guide panel 20 and speakers 21 are disposed near a supply opening 5, the wind guide panel 20 is operated to form a duct-like supply passage 10 near the supply opening 5, and sound wave for canceling operation noise including blast noise of a fan 7 is emitted from the speaker 21 to the duct-like supply passage 10. Further the supply opening 5 is provided with a plurality of longitudinal louvers (horizontal wind direction changing means) 12 rotatably arranged in the horizontal direction as shown in Fig.4, and the duct-like supply passages 10, 11 are divided into a plurality of sections 15. Every section 15 has the speaker 21. The sound wave passing through the section 15 is a roughly-plane wave, that is, the inside of the section can be regarded as an one-dimensional sound field, so that the sufficient silencing effect can be achieved, in particular, in a low frequency zone of 2,000 Hz or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
