PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information for identifying whether a pseudo zoom is used for the respective thumb nail images of an index print or not. SOLUTION: The thumb nail image 46 is provided with a pseudo zoom information display area 49 in addition to a photographing frame number display area 47 and an aspect information display area 48. When the pseudo zoom is used, an identification character 'Z' is displayed here. Simultaneously the print range determined in accordance with the aspect information and the pseudo zoom information is displayed by a print range frame line 51. In the case of, for example, the thumb nail image 46e, the identification character 'Z' is displayed in the pseudo zoom information display area 49a and therefore the use of the pseudo zoom is easily identifiable. Further, the print range frame line 51e is reduced and displayed according to a pseudo zoom magnification and therefore the use of the pseudo zoom is thereby identifiable.
