The present invention provides a storage system of which system loads are reduced and durability and reliability are improved, and a data management method thereof. A data management method of a storage system according to the present invention comprises the steps of: storing write data transmitted from a host in a storage device; and verifying validity of the stored write data by the storage device in response to a scrubbing command from the host.
