An apparatus and a method for controlling output in telematics are provided to control output current by checking the consumed amount of current in a vehicle. An apparatus for controlling output in telematics comprises a memory(30), a consumption current detecting unit, and a control unit. The memory makes the amount of consumption current according to the output of electric devices, which are installed in a vehicle, into database. The consumption current detecting unit monitors operation of the electric devices of the vehicle, reads out the amount of consumption current of the electric devices which are in operation, and detects total amount of usage current. The control unit controls the output of the electric devices to be within a permissible range of a battery for the vehicle. |
