The present invention relates to a tie rod of an extension joint which prevents the extension of an extension joint. According to one form of the present invention, a tie rod of an extension joint which includes a bellows pipe which is extendable and which forms a passage where fluid is transported inside and flange rings which are formed on both ends of the bellows pipe to have a diameter larger than that of the bellows pipe and joined to flanges of each pipe with a joining member; and which prevents the extension of the extension joint is provided. The tie rod includes rods having the longitudinal direction identical to that of the bellows pipe and couplers which are formed on both ends of the rods and which includes joining grooves where heads of the joining members are inserted and joined at spots separated in the central direction of the cross-sectional surface of the bellows pipe from the portions joined to the rods. The head of the joining member protruding from the surface opposite to the surface joined to the flange ring of the flange of each pipe is inserted into the joining groove of the coupler so that the tie rod of the extension joint is joined to the flange of the pipe to be detached.
