The present invention provides a polymer composition which contains polyether capable of absorbing linear ultraviolet radiation and a composition which contains polymer composition and protects an object from ultraviolet radiation, wherein the polyether contains a chemically bonded UV-chromophore. The UV-chromophore is selected from a group consisting of a benzotriazole and a triazine.
