PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct draining work of main steam line safely and in a short time for shortening the work period of periodical checking of a reactor power station. SOLUTION: To a main steam nozzle 3 attached to a reactor pressure vessel 1 and connected by a main steam line 4, a main steam line plug(MSLP) 9 is inserted from the inside of the reactor pressure vessel 2 and a pressurizing pipe 10 is connected to the MSLP 9. Downstream the pressurizing pipe 10, an MSLP operation unit 11 is set, a pressurized air supply line 12 is connected to the MSLP operation unit 11 and to the pressurized air supply line 12, an air relief safety valve 13, a supply air depressurizer 14, an air supply stop valve 15 and an air supply source 16 are connected. To the main steam line 4, a branch pipe 17 is connected, and to the branch pipe 17, a steam/water separator 18 and an exhaust gas processor 21 are connected. By pressurizing inside the main steam line 4, the reduction of draining due to lowering of water head caused in free fall method is forcedly recovered and time is shortened.
