PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter and a receiver that properly transmit or receive or reproduce an image, depending on a situation. SOLUTION: A control section 12 references a transmission status table in a storage section 11 to control a quantity of image data to be sent by a transmission section 15. Thus, the transmitter 10 can transmit image data of the quantity depending on the transmission status and the receiver 20 can properly display an image with the received image data.
