PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipole ion guide wherein, in an ion transport system which transports ions from an ionizing part to a mass spectrometer part, ions required for analysis are allowed to transmit at high efficiency while ions which are not needed are excluded before they reach the mass spectrometer part. SOLUTION: There are provided an ionizing part 1 for ionizing a sample, an ion transport system 3 which uses a high-frequency field of the multipole of at least quadrupole field, an ion incident part 4 which makes ions passing through the transport system incident on the mass spectrometer part, a mass spectrometer part 5 which separates and analyzes ions by mass-to-charge ratio of ions, and a detecting part 6 to detect ions analyzed for mass. A control means 9 is provided which changes a multipolar filed of high frequency generated at the transport system, according to the mass-to-charge ratio of the ions passing through the transportation system 3. |
