The device (14) has a sample holder (20) defining a volume for receiving a sample. A sample heating assembly (24) includes a non-contact heating element located out of the volume. A magnetic field application assembly (26) is arranged in the volume, and includes a magnetic field source (100A) placed outside the holder. The application assembly generates specific magnetic field in the volume and comprises a control unit (102) for adjusting intensity and direction of the magnetic field generated in the volume.
