<p>The present disclosures pertain to an image processing device and method that enable a reduction in the amount of coding during encoding and decoding. A type setting unit uses post-deblocking pixel values to, in LCU units, set the type of a filter that is common to Y, Cb, and Cr components, and supplies the result to a syntax write unit. An offset setting unit uses the post-deblocking pixel values to set an offset that is independent for each of the Y, Cb, and Cr components in LCU units. An SAO control information setting unit supplies to the syntax write unit an offset or a merge flag that is set having referred to the offset from the offset setting unit. The present disclosures can, for example, be applied to an image processing device.</p> |
