The present invention relates to a turbine for converting the kinetic energy of moving fluids into mechanic energy, aimed particularly at the production of electric energy when coupled to a generator. The invention basically consists of a turbine with one or two action rotors (1) which are partially housed in a half-chamber (2) and capture the fluid flow with blades exposed to and entrained by the fluid flow, and of an associated deflector which deflects the incident fluid (3) onto the rotor blades. The invention is specially useful for wind energy generation, for absorbing the wave energy of currents flowing towards the coast, in river currents and in moving mobile means, such as seagoing and river vessels, terrestrial vehicles and aircraft. |
