The attachment (3) has a ventilator (10) driven by a tool shaft of a hand-guided machine tool. The ventilator is accommodated in a housing (4), and lateral inflow apertures (12) for supplying air are attached to the housing. An air dispersing path is formed in the housing downstream of the ventilator, where the path runs coaxial or axially parallel to a rotational axis of the ventilator. The rotational axis lies coaxially or axially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the tool shaft in a mounted condition of the attachment. An air circulation disk is formed in the housing.
