<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for preventing forgery of an IPv6 packet, in an IPv6-IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 6-IP version 4) network, under a DSTM (Dual Stack Transition Mechanism) environment, capable of assigning an IPv4 address only to a DSTM node which authentically requests assignment of an IPv4 address. <P>SOLUTION: In the IPv6-IPv4 network in which an IPv6 network and an IPv4 network coexist, a DSTM server (110) to which assignment of an IPv4 address is requested by a DSTM node examines the authenticity of the request using a dynamic address table, assigns an IPv4 address only to an authentic request, synchronizes the dynamic address table of the server with a dynamic address table of a DSTM boundary router (120), and routes only a packet to which the IPv4 address has been authentically assigned, thereby preventing forgery of an IPv6 packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
