<p>A wind turbine blade is described, wherein the blade has an internal truss web structure provided as an open-framed lattice structure, to provide shear support for the wind turbine blade. By providing the internal webs of the blade as a lattice of individual truss elements, as a result the total blade weight is reduced, along with the manufacture and assembly time of the blade. Furthermore, the internal truss web structure may be provided in a manner to improve installation into a wind turbine blade shell, by having improved adhesive properties to the blade shell surfaces.</p> |
