<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data format conversion apparatus and a data format conversion method enabling good data portability and use commonality. <P>SOLUTION: Packet data including the time information of one I-frame and a subsequent I-frame of an MPEG2 data, intermittently recorded from a hard disk unit 25, are read out. A time difference between the time information included in the readout I-frame data and the time information in the packet data of the subsequent I-frame is calculated, so as to calculate the number of frames interpolated in real time between both frames, and generate a dummy frame, as well as generating a copy of the I-frame. In order to match the GOP structure of the DVD video standard, the copy frame and the dummy frame respectively generated above are added after the I-frame data, as combinations equal to the number of interpolated frames. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
