<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner replenishment method by which variation width in the density of toner is reduced, further, toner can be continuously replenished without repeating ON/OFF, and, even if consumption of toner is large, sufficient toner replenishment can be performed without the shortage of toner, to provide a toner replenishment device, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel count part 53 calculates a printing rate equivalent to the consumption of toner. A threshold set section 51 sets a stop threshold S2 expressing standard density in the replenishment of toner on the basis of the printing rate, and a replenishment extension time. A permeability sensor 45 measures permeability expressing density of toner in a storage section 45. A toner density control section 52 starts the replenishment of toner when the output value from the permeability sensor 45 reaches a start threshold S1 or more from the value less than the start threshold S1, and stops the replenishment of toner when the replenishment extension time passes from the time when the value reaches the stop threshold S2 from the value exceeding the stop threshold S2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
