#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves selecting an object i.e. date, belonging to a zone of a selection grid by a press on a back lighted key that occupies with respect to a key pressed in a same position as that of the zone, where the zone is arranged with respect to another zone of the grid. The press is enabled to preselect the object belonging to the former zone of the grid. A new selection board is displayed inside the former zone when the former zone contains several objects. The selection of the object is contrarily achieved when the former zone does not contain objects. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for selecting an object i.e. date, in a selection space i.e. calendar, on a screen of a small size mobile intelligent user interface based on a keyboard-display pair, for identifying a backlighted key that selects a zone of a selection grid. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits to improve ergonomic of navigation of a small size mobile intelligent user interface whose screen is not tactile. The method permits to select any object in an easy manner when the object selected from the screen has variable dimensions and shapes or when the object is not regularly distributed on the screen. The method improves utilization of a backlighting keyboard to the detriment to that of a stylus. The method permits a user to directly connect the presses that activate any table commands without consulting an intermediate screen, after a short usage time.
