<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly start a system by allowing a memory control unit to read start-up data written in a RAM for starting and outputs it to the system. <P>SOLUTION: In a storage device, a memory control unit 104 reads start-up data stored in a storage unit 107 in advance by using an auxiliary power source to be supplied from an auxiliary power source unit 102, and writes the data in a RAM 106 through a RAM bridge 105.
