Disclosed are systems and methods that automate the migration of data from an enterprise data server to cloud storage. When an enterprise server receives a request for data from an user, the server checks whether the data is stored in a cloud or only on an enterprise physical storage medium. If the data is stored in the cloud, the data is retrieved from the cloud and send to the client device of the user. If the data is only stored in the enterprise physical storage medium, the data is retrieved from the storage medium, send to the client device of the user and send to the cloud for storage. The enterprise server may determine the amount of remaining data that is stored on the physical storage medium, but not stored in the cloud and when the amount remaining is below a threshold, retrieve the data and send it to the cloud. |
