An air conditioner is provided to improve the structure of refrigerant inlet/outlet pipes connected to a heat exchanger for reducing the size of a heat exchanger chamber and a drain pan for collecting condensed water. An air conditioner includes a heat exchanger(30) having a heat exchange pipe(31) through which refrigerant flows, and refrigerant inlet/outlet pipes(51,55) connected to the heat exchange pipe for guiding refrigerant, wherein the heat exchanger and the refrigerant inlet/outlet pipes are disposed in the air flow direction of the heat exchanger. A drain pan(40) is mounted at a lower part of the heat exchanger. The refrigerant inlet/outlet pipes have folded parts which are folded towards the heat exchanger partially, wherein the folded parts are disposed at an upper part of the drain pan for introducing condensed water generated from the refrigerant inlet/outlet pipes into the drain pan.
