SYSTEM FOR MONITERING AND MANAGING HFC/CATV NETWORK

An HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial)/CATV(Cable TV) network monitoring and managing system using cable modem modules is provided to supply stable power through power switches and the cable modem modules installed in the switches, and to automatically and quickly find out a noise incoming point, thereby continuously and stably supplying high-quality services to each subscriber. A user manager(21) prevents other people except a user(manager) from accessing a system. An equipment state manager(22) and a signal state manager(23) monitor state data of equipment itself and state data of a downlink signal analyzed by an NMS(Network Management System), and immediately notify the manager of the state data. A transmitter(24b) and a receiver(24a) transceive various signals with equipments, modules, and another server. An IP(Internet Protocol) searcher(27) searches each IP of the modules installed in a network by using MAC(Medium Access Control). A data manager(29) stores/manages various data necessary for system operation. A trap processor(26) processes a trap if the trap occurs in a signal which is received during communication based on an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol).
