An elastomeric bushing (40), arranged between an outer metal body (42) and a stabilizer bar (12), is provided with a prespecified percent compression such that all rotation between the stabilizer bar and outer metal body causes only deflection of the bushing. An Independent claim is also included for a stabilizer bar assembling method.
