The invention relates to a cross-bracing for dissipating the energy produced by earthquakes, which leads to the diminution of the vibration effects and to the increase of the structural safety of a building. According to the invention, the device comprises a central element (A) and two other elements (B) which are attached to a structure, the joining between said elements and the central element (A) is achieved by means of other elements (C) which are inserted through some holes (a) cut into some elements (2) of the central element (A) and of energy-dissipating elements (B), respectively, the latter (B) achieving the dissipation of the energy by means of other elements (3).
