The invention relates to a computerized device for evaluating the pulse wave of peripheral arteries, using as a sensor an electret-type microphone. According to the invention, the device comprises an electret-type microphone (1) which collects the signal from the artery to be analyzed, which is provided with an air chamber consisting of two compartments (7) with different diameters, the compartment with greater diameter interfacing the skin superjacent to the artery to be evaluated, a pre-amplifier (2), an amplifier (3) for enhancing the vibrations produced by the arterial pulses, a filter (4) for removing the parasitic frequencies, where the signal can be graphically displayed on a LED display (5) or it can be connected to a computer (6) by using the sound card thereof as interface in order to visualize the signal by means of a virtual oscilloscope; also, the signal, amplified and filtered, may be examined by auscultation by means of headphones or loudspeakers (8).
|
