摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method and a device intended to maintain in real time the stability of mechanical stabilizing systems of motion picture cameras containing knee joints or other type of joints intended to eliminate undesired rotation motion caused by the camera operator or by other external factors. According to the invention, the method consists in taking over the values of two inclination angles using a sensor system and controlling two servo motor elements as to actuate a counterbalance weight, in order to permit the camera to maintain its inclination limits, within a stability-providing interval. The device, as claimed by the invention, comprises a microcontroller (2) including a sensor system providing the inclination in the two planes (ZY and XY), a fixing element (6) intended to secure a stabilizing assembly to a mechanical stabilizer (1) of the steadycam type, where the stabilizing assembly consists of a servo motor (5) meant to change the centroid of the mechanical stabilizer (1) in the plane ZY by actuating a counterbalance weight (3) and a servo motor (4) meant to change the centroid of the mechanical stabilizer (1) in the plane XY by actuating the same counterbalance weight (3).</p>
