Provided is a welding member holding device capable of stably holding a member that is a possible welding target so that the same does not fall or shift position and capable of improving workability and worker safety during welding. A welding member holding device (1), capable of holding one member (2) in direct contact with another member (3) when joining the one member (2) to the other member (3), comprises: a negative pressure generating means (7) for generating negative pressure; an adhering body (5) to adhere to the other member (3) by way of the negative pressure generated by the negative pressure generating means (7); and a piston rod (4) to press the one member (2), which is in direct contact with the other member (3), toward the other member (3) by way of the negative pressure generated by the negative pressure generating means (7). The negative pressure generating means (7) generates the suction of the adhering body (5) and the pressing force of the piston rod (4) by way of negative pressure generated by compressed air being supplied. |
