Disclosed is an OLT optical transmission system, comprising: an OLT optical transceiver module, configured to send downlink light to a first single-mode waveguide module, and receive uplink light input by a multi-mode waveguide module; the first single-mode waveguide module, configured to send the received downlink light to a splitter/combiner module; the splitter/combiner module, configured to split the received downlink light into multiple paths of downlink light to be sent to a corresponding second single-mode waveguide module, and combine the received multiple paths of uplink light to be sent to the multi-mode waveguide module; the second single-mode waveguide module, configured to send the received multiple paths of downlink light to multiple corresponding ODNs, and send the received multiple paths of uplink light to the splitter/combiner module; and the multi-mode waveguide module, configured to send the received uplink light to the OLT optical transceiver module. Disclosed are a mode coupler and an optical transmission method. By means of the present invention, uplink and downlink optical multiplexing can be implemented, and uplink light insertion loss is reduced. |
