Disclosed are a language self-adaption method applied in a terminal device, and a terminal device. The method comprises: searching for a corresponding language which matches a country code in an identification card of a terminal device; taking the corresponding language as a language supported by the identification card; and automatically loading a language resource pack of the language supported by the identification card. The device comprises a terminal management unit, used to search for a corresponding language which matches a country code in an identification card of the terminal device; take the corresponding language as a language supported by the identification card; and automatically load a language resource pack of the language supported by the identification card. By adopting the present invention, automatic self-adaptive adjustment of a supported language is implemented, and reusability of language support is enhanced. |
