摘要 The present invention relates to a silicon oxide-based anode active material for secondary battery which consists of a composite material in which the grain boundary of porous silicon monoxide (SiOx : 0.1<=x<=1.8) is coated with a carbon material and a method for manufacturing the same, the method comprising the steps of: mixing silicon chloride and glycol to generate a composite porous material as a reaction intermediate; primarily treating the composite porous material by heating in an inert gas atmosphere to generate porous silicon monoxide (SiOx : 0.1<=x<=1.8); mixing and pulverizing the porous silicon monoxide (SiOx : 0.1<=x<=1.8) and a carbon material to manufacture composite powder; and secondarily treating the porous silicon monoxide (SiOx : 0.1<=x<=1.8) and the carbon material by heating to coat the grain boundary of the porous silicon monoxide (SiOx : 0.1<=x<=1.8) with the carbon material. Thus, the silicon monoxide has porosity and the surface coated with carbon to prevent the silicon monoxide from reacting with oxygen during charging and discharging, thereby reducing an excessive volume change. Furthermore, the silicon oxide-based anode active material is manufactured by a hydrothermal synthesis method to have no need for a process of making or pulverizing and removing a mold consisting of an inorganic oxide, resulting in simplifying the manufacturing process.
