The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing an alternative telephony service for part or the whole section of a single phone call by automatically switching an outgoing call between a basic telephone network and an alternative telephone network, and to a method for inducing joining a cheaper phone charge side by notifying the caller or the receiver of the reducibility of the reverse phone charge according to whether the call is made through a basic phone or an alternative phone.
