Disclosed is a mold assembly used for a manufacturing apparatus of a contact tip for a welding torch, which uses a forging process. A mold assembly according to the present invention is used for manufacturing a contact tip for a welding torch, wherein the contact tip comprises: a body unit; a connection unit that is connected to a gas diffuser of a welding torch and which has a smaller external diameter than that of the body unit; a head unit formed across from the connection unit; and a connection unit hole and a head unit hole by being penetrated in the center thereof. The mold assembly processes a third molded workpiece including a third body unit which has a third body unit hole formed in the center thereof and open to one side; and a third connection unit having a smaller diameter than that of the third body unit and a third connection unit hole, which is formed in the center thereof to communicate with the third body unit hole. The mold assembly comprises a fourth mold having a fourth insertion hole into which the third molded workpiece is inserted from the third body unit; a fourth outside sleeve whose front end is inserted into the fourth insertion hole for supporting the third molded workpiece; and a fourth mold housing which has a finish pin formed in the center of the fourth mold housing, having a diameter greater than or equal to that of a weld wire, and inserted inside the third body unit hole, and forms a fourth head unit hole by pressing the third body unit of the third molded workpiece. By the mold assembly of the present invention, the third molded workpiece is formed without any gap by being pressed by the fourth mold housing while being settled inside the fourth insertion hole and the fourth mold is slid for molding to solve the size limit of the fourth mold housing and achieve stable operation. |
