PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle detection device capable of detecting the existence of a vehicle by surely separating the vehicle from a background (road surface) even in various weather conditions by using a camera as a detection means.SOLUTION: A camera part 4 aims at tire wheels of front wheels and rear wheels being large features of a vehicle to image the tire wheels by a side lighting method and specializes the tire wheels to image recognition of the shape of the tire wheels for use, and a control part 5 detects the tire wheels of the wheels of the vehicle included in the image data on the basis of the image data imaged at a prescribed frame rate by the camera part 4. |
