The present invention relates to a horizontal bioreactor for solid medium cultures, which is able to generate a crossflow behavior, comprising an internal agitation system and central propellers mounted on a coaxial shaft and an external agitation system as well as vanes. The movement of the agitation system is generated by means of a gear system formed by a primary gearbox and a secondary gearbox. The agitation systems allow the product to be mixed to migrate upward and downward. The central propellers exert a downward movement and the vanes an upward movement. The agitation in the bioreactor is designed to operate mechanically by means of a motoreducer of cycloidal type speed that allows the speed to be regulated between 0 and 10rpm. The bioreactor has also a timer, which allows the required agitation periods to be controlled.
