PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a device and method for cooling a turbine.SOLUTION: There is provided a cooling gas flow control device for improving efficiency of a turbine incorporating a gas flow control device when the turbine 2 is operated in a partial load condition. The cooling gas flow control device for turbine rotors 34, 36, 38 that are internally located between a turbine compressor 4 and a turbine section 8 is disclosed. The cooling gas flow control device has a shape memory material that is used to actively adjust the cooling gas flow to between internal parts of the turbine, including buckets 40, 42, 44. |
