<p>A powder dispensing unit for vending machines for beverage preparation, comprises a plurality of distinct powder containing chambers (2), metering members (10) selectively operable on one containing chamber (2) at a time, and designed to draw powder from the containing chambers (2) and deliver it to a percolation and/or infusion chamber (8), the metering members (10) and the containing chambers (2) being movable relative to each other to selectively present one containing chamber (2) at a time to the metering members (10).
