Roundabouts.-A roundabout comprises a rotatable central tubular member from which radiate arms whose outer ends have wheels running on an undulating track, platforms pivotally connected between the arms carrying circular tracks on which eccentrically mounted cars may rotate. The member 1 has a rotatable hub 3 to which are pivotally fitted radial arms 6 ending in wheels 17 on the track 18, Consecutive arms 6 are joined bv platforms 34 having circular tracks 37 on which the cars 39, eccentrically pivoted about ball and socket joints 42, rotate when the wheels 17 are driven by the four electric motors 22 carried on frames slung from four arms 6 at right angles, and from the platforms 34 adjacent to them, the motors being geared to the wheel 17. Bracing rods may be fitted from the top of the member 10 to posts 48 mounted on the frames 15 which support an outer platform, and others 50, 20 to reinforce the arms and track respectively. |
