The damping element (130) comprises a damping material comprising a hollow body formed as filler particles. The damping material contains 40-60 vol.% of filler. A part of the filler particles has a spherical, an ellipsoidal, a drop, a polyhedral or an irregular shape. The filler particles have an average diameter of 20-500 mu m. Independent claims are included for: (1) a sound transducer unit; and (2) a method for manufacturing a damping element.
