[Class 83 (iii)] A lathe turret comprises a base-plate a which is clamped to a support, after rotational adjustment, by a central screw p and a handoperated nut r. Recesses c in the plate a cooperate with recesses e in clamping strips d to secure the tools which may be adjusted in height by movement along the inclined recesses, clamping being effected by a cover-plate h corresponding in shape to the base and carrying screws s engaging the strips d. Springs g on studs f in the base raise the strips d to permit removal or adjustment of the tools when the clamping pressure is released and the height adjustment may be indicated by scales on the base or strips d or on the tools. The cover h is secured to the base a by screws i and a central spigot n. |
