FIELD: information technology.SUBSTANCE: reproduction/recording request containing a recording identifier and a requested address is transmitted to a set-top box by a service system in an IPTV system. The set-top box determines, in accordance with the reproduction/recording request, whether the local device has an interface with reproduction/recording synchronisation capacity and if so, the set-top box sets up interface parameters in accordance with the recording identifier. A reproduction media object for the reproduction/record request is defined; corresponding recording resources and reproduction resources are allocated and a programme is downloaded from the network in accordance with the requested address. The programme is then reproduced and synchronous recording of the programme in background mode during reproduction is carried out.EFFECT: enabling synchronous recording while reproducing a programme, recording without loss of data, which considerably enhances user perception.12 cl, 3 dwg |
