An electronic RFID label reader (B) is allowed to verify the coherence between the data registered on the label and the information recorded on the RFID chip through the central database, where the RFID label reader incorporates a remote retrieval system, and the database contains information required to authenticate a product. An independent claim is also included for a device for authenticating a product through a certificate of authenticity for the detection of counterfeit products.
