[Problem] To provide a power generation device having high power generation efficiency. [Solution] A power generation device (20) has: a first beam (21a) and a second beam (21b), which are disposed to face each other, and which bend due to vibration; and coils wound around the first beam (21a), and the second beam (21b), respectively. Furthermore, each of the first beam (21a) and the second beam (21b) has a beam main body (26) formed of a magnetostrictive material or the like, and a stress relaxing layer (27), which is formed of a material different from that of the beam main body (26), and which covers a part of the surface of the beam main body (26). When the beam main body (26) is deformed due to vibration, one of compression stress and tensile stress is mainly generated in the beam main body (26), and the other one of compression stress and tensile stress is mainly generated in the stress relaxing layer (27), and a large current flows in the coils. |
