PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a service changeover time in a one-segment broadcast from when a service is specified by a channel operation to when the content of the service is output.SOLUTION: In a high-speed mode, a default PMT which is a PMT for a predetermined PID is acquired, and preparation is made for output of a content where the PID is written in the default PMT. In parallel with this operation, an NIT is acquired, and, on the basis of a service list written in the NIT, service authentication for confirming that the default PMT is a PMT for a specified service specified by the user is performed. If the default PMT is a PMT for the specified service, output of a content where the PID is written in the default PMT is begun. This technology can be applied to, for example, a one-segment broadcast receiving system. |
