PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide USB devices in which USB specifications are supplemented by adding mechanisms which allow any number of USB devices to perform synchronized and triggered operations without placing a great computational burden on a host.SOLUTION: USB devices comprise local clocks. The USB devices monitor USB signals given to the USB devices for specific signal structures; generate local reference signals from the specific signal structures in order to lock the local clocks at the same frequency; lock the frequency of the local clocks at a value in a prescribed range including the local reference signals; monitor the USB signals for the USB devices, for a prescribed trigger command signal carrying a trigger command of a USB host; decode the trigger command; and execute or stop one or more running processes for a plurality of USB devices upon receiving the trigger command signal. |
