PROBLEM SOLVED: To increase the reliability of the storage of coins in an album and to increase the service life and convenience in use of the album. ESSENCE OF THE INVENTION: In the album for storing coins, which comprises a binding cover which consists of a rigid material, is covered by a covering material and is fixed with the aid of fixing elements, preferably screws, in a spine part with a means for holding coins in the form of one or more sheets with rows of seats for coins, wherein the seats beneath the coins are equipped with a protective element consisting of a transparent material, and the sheets are formed from a rigid material with a thickness which is equal in size to the thickness of the coins and are covered by a covering material, it is proposed that each sheet is provided with a spine lining, that the binding cover is formed with turn-ins, and that the spine part of the holding means is provided with one or more spine spacers with a thickness which corresponds to the total thickness of the protective elements. Each sheet can be formed such that the covering material is fixed to the rigid material in interrow spacings, and the protective elements in the form of strips of transparent plastic are arranged in each row on both sides of the sheet between the covering material and the rigid material and are mounted in such a way that they are capable of being moved along the row over the seats in the form of through-openings.
