摘要 <p>The invention relates to a device for the purification of exhaust gases from a heat engine, comprising: at least one ceramic catalyst support divided at the nanometer scale into crystallites having the same size, the same isodiametric morphology and the same chemical composition or having substantially the same size, the same isodiametric morphology and the same chemical composition at the nanometer scale, in which each crystallite is in point contact or almost in point contact with the crystallites surrounding same, displaying a short-distance organisation between the crystallites, each crystallite having an equivalent diameter d such that 0.8dm < d < 1.2dm, wherein dm, the mean equivalent diameter of the crystallites, is between 10nm and 20nm; and at least one active phase for the chemical destruction of impurities in the exhaust gas, comprising metal particles that interact chemically with the ceramic catalyst support and are mechanically anchored in said catalyst support, such that the coalescence and mobility of each particle are limited to a maximum volume corresponding to that of a crystallite of the ceramic catalyst support.</p>
